Japan's Geonext to acquire 3 MW of PV plants

Japan-based technology company Geonext Corporation said on Tuesday it will acquire the rights to roughly 3 MW of solar photovoltaic plants.

The acquisition price was not disclosed in the press release.

The purchase was made by Geonext's subsidiary Area Energy and the seller was Japan's Shikishima Farm Co. The deal involves two PV plants, the 1.99-MW Hirono and 936-kW Koyu, located in the prefectures of Fukushima and Miyazaki, respectively.

According to Geonext, the acquisition is scheduled to be completed by October 15 while the payment and transfer of rights is estimated to occur on November 2.
