In conversation with Mr. Jigish N Doshi, Director, Vishakha Renewables Pvt. Ltd.

Let’s begin with a glimpse of your company’s presence and offerings in India

Vishakha Renewables is one of India’s fastest growing solar solutions provider for encapsulating solar energy under the MAKE IN INDIA Initiative since January 2017. We have manufacturing Capacity of 1200MW for EVA and 3000 MW for Back sheet. We use State of the art European Manufacturing equipment to cater to Customers all over India providing UL Approved Fast Cure/Ultra Fast Cure EVA Encapsulant and PET/PVDF/PVF Back sheet. Vishakha Renewables is part of the Vishakha Group of Companies whose expertise scales across flexible packaging, injection, rotational and blow moulded products; drip irrigation and pipes; plastic agricultural,industrial,silage,pond.canal liner and films with a global customer base.

What have been some of the recent developments at your organisation

As a customer initiative, Vishakha Renewables envisages to Optimise Performance and achieve excellence. Keeping abreast with the latest technologies in the field, we pursue continuous initiatives in R&D and New Product developments like POE for BIPV/Bifacial Solar Modules.

 

Tell us a bit about the recent technology advancements in your sector

With the decreasing trend in solar module prices, all customers are working towards reducing the system cost from other components like, combiner boxes etc., ultimately developing 1500 V system voltage modules.

Vishakha Renewables has also developed back sheets for 1500 V system voltage with very low water/moisture ingress.

Considering the reliability of solar modules, Vishakha Renewables has focused on developing highly PID resistance in our EVA and had developed EVA which has more than 3X times PID resistance.

POE (polyolefin elastomer)  is an alternate candidate for EVA, which has inbuilt PID resistance property and expected to have better reliability & performance, since corrosive acetic acid which is formed in modules with EVA will not be formed in modules with POE encapsulants. We plan to have a POE Product soon.

What are your growth plans for the Indian market? What are the milestones you wish to achieve by the end of this fiscal?

Keeping in mind the Capacity expansion plans of various Solar Module Manufacturing Manufacturers in India including our existing Customers, The Company aims to double its Production Capacity for both EVA and Back sheet in the next fiscal.

What have been the latest trends in demand for your products & services in India? Where do you see the next demand growth coming from?

Solar Module Manufacturers in India demand reliable products at competitive prices. After sales service and handholding the Customer are of paramount importance for Vishakha Renewables. Demand growth for our Products would be coming from new customers and capacity expansion of existing customers. Vishakha Renewables is also looking at the export markets for demand growth in the near future.
