Solar Energy Firm Lands Stadium Rooftop Project.

UGE International Ltd. announced in a news release it was awarded the contract to engineer and install a 374-kilowatt solar rooftop system on a new stadium being built in Oroquieta City on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines.

The stadium will be part of theOroquieta Bayfront Park and Arena, a development that also will include a park, shopping mall and office buildings.

"Powering the facility with clean, renewable energy ensures that the development of the Philippines' athletic programs and local economies support the clean air and water we all need to thrive," saidUGE Philippines board member and retired basketball legend Ramon Fernandez in the release.

The project, which UGE will build this year, should yield an estimated $400,000 in revenue, with the gross margin hitting or exceeding the firm's 23% target.
