Rewa 250 MW Solar Project – Sprng Energy Announces The Commissioning Of Its First Solar Project In India

Sprng Energy, Actis’s second energy Platform in India, is proud to announce the complete commissioning of its first renewable energy project in India.

This 250 MW Solar project won under Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited bid holds unique annals in history of Indian renewable auctions and was one of the first solar projects to breach the sub level of INR 3/kWh in the country. The project has been commissioned within the timelines stipulated under the PPA. The project is located at Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Park and the EPC has been done by L&T Construction Limited. The project construction has been carried out keeping in mind the best ESG and Health and Safety practices. The electricity produced from this project will help in contributing to the electricity needs of Madhya Pradesh and meeting the green power requirements of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to enable it to run in an environmentally sustainable manner. The plant will help mitigate at least 0.35 million tonne of CO2 emission per year.

SPRNG currently has a total portfolio of nearly 1.75 GW of solar and wind projects across India, including both under construction and operational.
